These are the rules for using Borrito. They are clear because the app touches something important: your photos.
Borrito —for iPhone, Android and Mac— is an app by Superbites Studios S.A.S. (Tax ID 901.861.933-9, Armenia, Quindío, Colombia). If you downloaded it from the App Store, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies.
What the app does
Borrito analyses your photos and videos on your phone and suggests what you could delete to free up space: duplicate photos, look-alike photos, large videos, WhatsApp files and old screenshots.
Nothing is deleted without your decision. What you choose first goes to the app's safety bin, where it stays untouched in your library. When you tap "Free up", the operating system asks you to confirm:
- On iPhone, deleted items stay 30 days in "Recently Deleted".
- On Android 11 or later, they stay 30 days in the system trash.
- On Android 10 or earlier there is no trash and deletion is permanent; the app warns you first.
If you use iCloud Photos, what you delete is also deleted on your other devices with the same account.
Borrito for Mac
Borrito for Mac suggests what to remove from your disk —caches, logs, duplicate or very large files, forgotten downloads and apps you don't use— and says what each thing is and what happens if it goes. Nothing is moved unless you choose it.
- What you clean goes to the app's quarantine for the period you choose (7 days by default) and can be put back exactly where it was. When the period ends, or if you choose "Free it now", it is deleted for good.
- Apps you uninstall go to the macOS Trash.
- The "Safe", "Review" and "Keep" labels are guidance based on a curated list of system places. Review anything not marked "Safe" before you clean it.
- Borrito cannot recover what has already left the quarantine or the Trash.
Borrito Pro for Mac
With Borrito for Mac's free plan you can clean up to 5 GB a month, and use everything else in the app. Borrito Pro for Mac removes that limit. It is bought on our website, not on the App Store:
- Plans: monthly or yearly —subscriptions that renew automatically at the end of each period, at the current price, until you cancel— or lifetime, with a single payment. The checkout shows the final price in your country's currency, including any applicable taxes.
- Who charges you: orders are processed by Paddle.com, our authorised reseller and Merchant of Record: it takes the payment, issues the invoice and handles taxes. Paddle's buyer terms also apply to the purchase.
- Your licence arrives by email and is pasted into the app once. It is for your personal use and covers 1 Mac. If you change Macs, move it to the new one; to use Borrito Pro on another Mac at the same time you need another licence. For subscriptions, the app renews the licence by itself while the subscription is active; if your Mac is offline, Pro keeps working for 7 days after the paid period ends.
- To cancel a subscription: use the management link Paddle includes in your receipts, or write to us. You keep Pro until the end of the period you already paid for.
- Refunds: you have 30 days from your first purchase to ask for a full refund, no questions asked. Write to apps@superbitesstudios.com or use the link in your Paddle receipt. Subscription renewals are not refundable, except where your country's law requires it. When a purchase is refunded, its licence stops working.
What we do not promise
Suggestions are made by an algorithm and can be wrong. Borrito always keeps at least one photo from each group, but review before freeing up space: you decide what is deleted.
Borrito cannot recover files that are no longer in the system trash, or photos deleted before you installed it.
We do not guarantee a specific amount of space. It depends on what is in your library.
Free plan
You can use Borrito without paying. Each day you can free up to 500 MB and review 50 photos in swipe mode. If a single file is bigger than that, you can still free it, one a day.
Borrito Pro
Borrito Pro removes those daily limits. It is offered as a weekly, monthly or yearly subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. The app shows the prices your country's store provides.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period, at the current price, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Payment is charged by Apple to your Apple ID or by Google to your Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.
- The free trial, when offered, is only for people who have not used it before. If you do not cancel before it ends, billing starts automatically. If you allow notifications, we remind you the day before.
- To cancel: on iPhone, Settings › your name › Subscriptions › Borrito. On Android, Google Play › your profile › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions › Borrito. Uninstalling the app does not cancel the subscription.
- Refunds are handled by the store under its policies (Apple, Google Play).
- Restore purchases: on a new phone, use "Restore purchases" on the Borrito Pro screen or in Settings, with the same store account.
Permitted use
Borrito is for personal use. You may not decompile it, resell it or use it to infringe other people's rights.
Ownership
Borrito, its name, the robot character, the design and the code belong to Superbites Studios S.A.S. Your photos are yours: we claim no rights over them and never receive them.
Liability
Borrito is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for files you choose to delete or for the loss of photos that are no longer in the system trash. Nothing here limits your rights under your country's consumer protection law.
Privacy
How we handle information is in the Privacy policy. In short: your photos never leave your phone.
Changes
If these terms change, the date on this page and the text inside the app are updated. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the new version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia.
