These are the rules for using StatusGo. They are plain because the app touches other people's content and your own files.

StatusGo is not affiliated with, associated with, authorised or endorsed by WhatsApp LLC or Meta Platforms, Inc. "WhatsApp" is a trademark of its owners.
What the app does
StatusGo lets you save to your gallery the WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business statuses you have already viewed, and edit and organise them: text status, photo editor, trim and split videos, convert to GIF, extract audio, favourites, collections, tags, trash and an encrypted private vault.
To show you statuses, the app asks you to choose, with the system picker, the folder where WhatsApp keeps them, and it only reads that folder. It does not read your chats, does not connect to your WhatsApp account and does not post anything for you.
Other people's content
The statuses you see and save belong to whoever posted them. StatusGo is a tool for personal use:
- Save and use a status only if you have the right to or its author allows it.
- Do not repost or sell it, or use it to harass, impersonate or harm anyone.
- You are responsible for what you do with the content you save, edit or share. Respect copyright, privacy and people's image.
- WhatsApp's terms may apply to your use of that service; what you do with StatusGo does not change those terms.
What we do not promise
StatusGo depends on how WhatsApp stores statuses on the phone. WhatsApp may change that, or your Android permissions may change, and the app may stop showing statuses until we update it. Statuses disappear from WhatsApp after 24 hours; if you did not save them, StatusGo cannot recover them.
The editor tools work on copies on your phone; results may vary depending on the source video or image. We do not guarantee that a file is compatible with every app.
Free plan
You can use StatusGo without paying. Each day you can save up to 3 new statuses. If you want more that day, you can watch a rewarded ad and receive 3 additional saves. The free version shows Google AdMob ads. The free plan also limits the vault and collections, as indicated in the app.
StatusGo Pro
StatusGo Pro removes those limits and the ads, and includes features such as auto-save. It is offered as a monthly or yearly subscription. The app shows the prices Google Play gives for your country and currency.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period, at the current price, unless you cancel before the current period ends.
- Billing is done by Google to your Google Play account, when you confirm the purchase.
- To cancel: Google Play › your profile › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions › StatusGo. Uninstalling the app does not cancel the subscription.
- Refunds: handled by Google Play under its policies (Google Play).
- Restore purchases: if you change phones, use "Restore purchases" on the StatusGo Pro screen, with the same Google account.
The private vault
The vault encrypts your files with a code only you know. When you create it you are shown 24 recovery words: keep them somewhere safe. If you forget the code and do not have the words, nobody —including us— can recover those files. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data also deletes the vault's contents.
Permitted use
StatusGo is for personal use. You may not decompile it, resell it, or use it to infringe other people's rights or third-party service rules.
Ownership
StatusGo, its name, logo, design and code belong to Superbites Studios S.A.S. Your files are yours: we claim no rights over them and never receive them. The content of statuses belongs to their authors.
Liability
StatusGo is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for how you use other people's content, for files you decide to delete, or for the loss of vault files from forgetting the code and recovery words. None of this limits the rights your country's consumer protection law gives you.
Privacy
How we handle information is in the Privacy Policy. In short: your statuses never leave your phone.
Changes
If these terms change, the date on this page and the text inside the app are updated. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the new version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia.
